Setup 2-Step Authentication

Why You Should Use 2-Step Authentication

Two-step authentication (2SA) provides an extra level of security for your Promo Video Creator (PVC) login, by requiring an authentication code as well as your unique ID, email address and password.

Before you set it up for your PVC login, make sure you know what 2SA is and how to use it.

If you have already enabled 2SA, but you have a new phone or another device, you can move 2SA to your new authentication device.

Installing an Authenticator App.

If you already have an authenticator app installed on your phone or device, you can add your PVC login to it.

If you don’t have an authenticator app installed on your phone, we recommend using an industry-standard app such as:

  • Google Authenticator(Google Accounts Help Center) for Android devices, iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, and BlackBerry devices
  • Authy(Authy website) for iPhone, iPad, Android, Mac computers and Windows computers
  • Windows Authenticator(Microsoft Store) for Windows Phones

To set up the authenticator app:

  1. Download and install an authenticator app from your device’s app store.
  2. Follow the installation instructions provided for your device to add an account.

You might also need to install a barcode scanner app on your device. You will need to scan the QR code provided when setting up 2-step authentication for your PVC login.

Setup 2-Step Authentication

During Login

Promo Video Creator already provides a high level of login security, but is not mandatory to install 2-Step Authentication. If you want the extra level of security that comes with s-Step Authentication follow these steps:

  1. If you haven’t already done so, install an authenticator app.
  2. Go to the PVC login screen.
  3. Enter your Unique ID, Username and password, then click Login.
  4. Check the I’m not a robot reCAPTCHA then click Setup Two-Step Authentication.

  5. In your authenticator app, add a new account. For Google Authenticator, click the plus icon, or for Authy, click Add Account.
  6. Scan the barcode showing in PVC into your authenticator app.

Alternatively, click enter your key manually.

  7. Enter the Account and Key showing in PVC into your authenticator. Turn on Time-based in the app and click Next.

  8. Select your three security questions and enter the answers, then click Next.

And Done! You are now set up to use two-step authentication next time you log into PVC.
